Currently a student at Ferris State University in the Digital Animation and Game Design program with an emphasis on animation and design. I'm Jessica Tardy, and I have a passion for art. Growing up, wanting to be a part of the process of animation was my dream. I was born a bit late to partake of the traditional method of animation, and went after the digital process. Ferris offered a program locally for Digital Animation and Game Design where I enrolled. My current emphasis is on 2d/3d animation and design.
Besides just American animation, the passion for Japanese animation and the different cultural attitude towards comics and cartoons fueled my 3 plus years of studying Japanese at Aquinas College. In 2005 I spent 5 months living in Yokkaichi, Japan as an exchange student. The complex ar of comic creation has been a hidden tie to it all. I love going to conventions to meet the amazing people behind the art, and the people with passion and skill to create the physical manifestation of their love in a form of a costume. In 2008 I applied and attended the Game Developers Conference as a Conference Associate. Having enjoyed it so much, and promises to meet all the fantastic people again the next year and meet even more outstanding individuals, I went again in 2009 as an Associate, and plan to do so again in 2010.
